Workplace wellness programme shown to significantly improve several domains of psychological wellbeing

This was a 3 month exercise and nutrition programme for employees of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Significant improvements were found in multiple domains of physical and mental well-being. The study was found to improve the following seven domains: physical health, mental health, stress, energy level, social satisfaction, self-efficacy and quality of life. Additionally it was concluded that targeting mental health through workplace wellness programmes may be an effective strategy for reducing indirect healthcare costs associated with absenteeism and presenteeism.
